The weather is beautiful and so are our gardens, come and share them with us and enjoy this Indian Summer. Warm enough for a picnic, come and stay awhile.
‘The gardens will be closed on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 8th – 10th September due to tree maintenance work. We will be open again daily from Friday 11th September.’
Have you been planning a visit to us this summer. The garden is absolutely glorious now, we have 8 acres of grounds with formal and informal planting. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the views, or take a leisurely stroll down through our meadow to the River Wye. We have held our entry price for £6 per adult and £1 for children (they love it here), dogs are free and the parking! Open every day from 10.00am to 5.00pm. We’re just 12 miles from Hereford and 6 miles from Hay. We look forward to meeting you.
We are open every day – come and relax in our grounds and enjoy our tranquil Wyeside gardens. Some time at Brobury is a wonderful antidote to these stressful times. Bring a picnic and enjoy the summer weather, we look forward to welcoming regulars back and seeing new faces
We are open 10am to 5pm and we have held admission charges for 2020.
(Adults £6, children 3-10 £1 and under 16s £3).
Please respect the current COVID distancing rules (minimum 2m separation) – it should be easy we have eight acres to explore!
The daffodils are up and we’ll soon be treated to a beautiful yellow carpet.
Fabulous early spring colour after the recent storms (photos by Anthony Brooks).
We are enjoying several bulb flowers at the moment:
Iris reticulata, daffodils, Winter Aconites, snowdrops and crocuses. Rhododendron Christmas Cheer is still going strong, as well as the Hellebores. We are open every day.
Meanwhile, we are doing some of those ‘hidden’ jobs that are important: coppicing hazels for plant supports, cutting back the Norfolk Reeds and cleaning/oiling the garden benches scattered throughout the garden.
Hoping you’ve not suffered too badly in the recent stormy weather.
We’ve lost a few shrubs but, luckily, nothing worse.
Dare we say it, Autumn is just around the corner! A wonderful time to arrange a visit to Brobury House Gardens – the colours are quite spectacular. There are still masses of flowers and vibrant colours everywhere, and hopefully we will have the promised Indian Summer – fingers crossed.
A couple of delightful wedding pics from this year. It’s so romantic holding the wedding ceremony in the garden – a beautiful backdrop for that very special day.
